Prepless veneers are a cheaper, faster, and less permanent option for patients who want veneers. They require no tooth preparation to apply! Improve your smile and boost your confidence with veneers at Dental by Design.
What Are Prepless Veneers?
Prepless veneers are more cost-effective than porcelain veneers and take less time to apply. While they may not last as long as porcelain veneers, they do provide a more affordable option that does not require the removal of the tooth’s enamel. Prepless veneers are also not as permanent as porcelain veneers, so if you don’t like them, we can remove them!
Prepless veneers are a great option for those looking for a change in their appearance at a more cost-effective rate. This type of veneer can last up to 20 years with proper hygiene routines and maintenance schedules. We recommend that you visit us once every 6 months for a professional cleaning and checkup.
Advantages of Prepless Veneers:
- No enamel trimming is required!
- More affordable than porcelain veneers.
- Can be removed with minimal damage to your teeth.
Beautiful Prepless Dental Veneers in 2 Visits at Dental By Design
In just two office visits, you can get the radiant smile that you’ve been dreaming of. Unlike porcelain veneers, prepless veneers are semi-permanent, which means that they can be removed with minimal effect on your teeth. They are also more affordable than porcelain veneers, since cosmetic treatments may not be covered under some insurance plans.
We strive to provide value for our patients. That also means providing options. So while porcelain veneers last longer and are better quality, prepless veneers also come with some advantages: you can get your dream smile in just two visits.
Why Get Veneers?
Chipped, cracked, or stained teeth might make you uncomfortable with your smile. Prepless veneers can help! They are a beautiful way to spice up your smile and repair those damaged teeth. There are many reasons to choose prepless veneers:
- Increased self-confidence.
- A brighter, straighter smile.
- You value flexibility and the ability to change your mind.
- A fresh new look for your wedding day.
- To make a better impression on people, socially or professionally.
How Much Do Veneers Cost?
Each veneer case is priced differently. The cost depends on several factors:
- The number of veneers.
- The type of veneers (prepless or porcelain).
- Whether your teeth are healthy enough for veneers.
- Whether your insurance will cover them.
Because veneers are a cosmetic service, many insurance companies won’t cover them. Here at Dental by Design, we offer payment plans and programs for our patients. We will work with you on the best action for your health and budget!
The Prepless Veneer Process
The prepless veneer process can take place in just two appointments. Once you’ve decided on prepless veneers in your consultation, we’ll schedule a time for you to come in for treatment. At that appointment, we’ll follow the following steps:
- Take scans of your teeth.
- Use our Digital Smile Design technology to design and print your veneers.
- Clean the teeth receiving the veneers.
- Apply a dental adhesive to your teeth.
- Attach the veneers.
- Do touch-ups to make sure your smile looks uniform.
Are Veneers Permanent?
Porcelain veneers are permanent because they require the slight removal of enamel from the tooth’s surface. Once enamel is lost, it does not grow back. This means that you will most likely need to replace your veneers every 10–15 years, depending on how well you maintain them.
Prepless veneers are not permanent. While they are placed on the front of the tooth—just like porcelain veneers—they are made from a thin material that doesn’t require the enamel to be shaved back for placement. They have half the lifespan of porcelain veneers but are an excellent choice for someone looking for a more affordable option.
How To Make Your Veneers Last Longer
For both types of veneers, taking care of your teeth by brushing and flossing daily will help them last longer.
You should be brushing twice a day, and flossing at least once. We also recommend you use antimicrobial mouthwash once a day to flush out bacteria. If you stop by our office for a visit every six months, we’ll be able to clean your teeth and make sure that your veneers are functioning as they should.
