Wondering how to get a better, more radiant smile? Do you struggle with tooth stains that just won’t lift no matter what you try? Dental veneers may be the perfect option for you! Porcelain veneers are a great choice for those wanting to change the appearance of their smiles with brilliant results. With the help of advanced technology, you can even test-drive your new smile!
At Dental by Design, we make sure your new smile is right for you.
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
When you have broken teeth, chipped teeth, or tooth stains, veneers are a fantastic solution. They cover up damaged or disfigured teeth. A veneer is a thin sheet of tooth-colored porcelain that fits over the front of an existing tooth.
What Are Chairside Veneers?
Chairside veneers are applied in one office visit by using a dental bonding composite. This dental bonding material is applied by hand, and then hardened, matching the look and feel of real, natural teeth!
Chairside veneers can also be known as prepless veneers. At Dental by Design, we offer beautiful, natural-looking prepless veneers.
Chairside veneers don’t last as long as porcelain veneers, but they are still a wonderful option for those looking to correct gapped, chipped, or even stained teeth. They are much easier to repair than porcelain veneers, and faster, too! Prepless veneers are an affordable, convenient option for those looking to tweak the look of their smiles.
How Long Do Dental Veneers Last?
When properly maintained and cared for, your veneers can last for years! Porcelain veneers are stronger than chairside veneers, which typically last anywhere between 5–7 years. Porcelain veneers can last for twice as long. We recommend that you visit us for a biannual cleaning and checkup every 6 months to prolong the life of your veneers.
Veneers work best when applied to just the front teeth. Direct impact can wear them down or even chip them. If you accidentally chip your veneers, don’t panic! Just be sure to give us a call and we can get to work on repairing or replacing them.
Test-Drive Your Smile
By using advancements in technology, Dental by Design can craft your brand-new smile with your input. 3D intraoral scans will give us a fully rendered, 3D image of your current condition. These scans can also allow us to draft what your new smile will look like. You will get to see the difference in real time!
Then, you can wear temporary veneers to get a feel for your new smile. This allows you to have the freedom to make any further alterations without any fuss. You will be in the driver’s seat for your porcelain veneers, so don’t be afraid to speak up! After your temporary veneers, we will then make and place your permanent veneers.
How Much Do Veneers Cost?
The cost of your veneer treatment will depend on how many veneers you get. It will also vary based on whether you need any preparatory treatments like fillings or gum disease treatment.
If you’re worried about cost, don’t be! We have in-house payment plans that can make veneers affordable for everyone!
Preparing Your Smile For Teeth Veneers
Here’s a rundown of what needs to happen before you get your beautiful veneers:
- Your first appointment: Our dentist will evaluate the current condition of your oral health. They’ll address any issues before moving on to the next step. Your health and wellness are our priority! A 3D intraoral scan will give us the right template to begin constructing how your veneers will look.
- Designing your veneers: Using Digital Smile Design, our dentist will create a customized look to your specifications. We can make your teeth look longer, more symmetrical, and even brighter than before! Porcelain veneers fit like gloves over your existing teeth. You can even choose the shade that you want.
- Waiting for your veneers: While we wait for the lab to make your new porcelain veneers, a temporary veneer can be placed in the meantime. This option also allows our patients to test drive their new smile before having their veneers officially put into place. Remember to let us know if you’d like to try your new smile before committing!
Placing Your Porcelain Veneers
To place your veneers, our dentist first needs to carefully take a little of your enamel away. This ensures a proper fit of your veneers. Enamel does not grow back, so this procedure is permanent. We’ll attach the veneers using a special dental adhesive.
Once placed, you can expect your porcelain veneers to last you between 10–15 years or more! If they ever crack, break, or fall off, we can easily make replacements.
